Donate to Women’s Birth & Wellness Center

On behalf of the Staff, Volunteers, and Board of Directors of Women’s Birth & Wellness Center, but most especially, those individuals whom we serve, we thank you for considering a donation. We are thankful for all our donors and gratefully accept donations of any amount. Our fundraising efforts support our mission to provide care to women of diverse backgrounds with comprehensive well woman, maternity and preventative care throughout their lives.

All contributions to our center are tax deductible – we will gladly provide a tax receipt for any donations received. We are a 501 (c)3 charitable organization, and our tax identification number is 20-0181203. If you have any questions, we are here to help. Please contact Brianna at mariaj@ncbirthcenter.org.

In Memory Donations

To support the ongoing operations of WBWC and our unique programs, consider a general donation. Your gift may benefit these or other special needs:

  • SLIDING-SCALE FUND: In order to provide affordable healthcare for economically disadvantaged families, WBWC has a financial hardship policy with a sliding-fee scale. The goal of this program is to allow low-income families and families without health insurance to be able to receive our services. The sliding-scale fund helps these families and WBWC.
  • HOME VISIT SUPPLEMENT FUND: Families who birth at WBWC are discharged home six to twelve hours after birth, followed by a home visit 24 to 72 hours later. The new mother and infant are assessed without requiring them to leave the safety and comfort of home. Often these visits are not covered by Medicaid or other insurance providers. We travel up to two hours to provide the needed in-home postpartum and baby care. In order for us to continue postpartum home visits for ALL patients, supplemental funding is necessary.
  • MOTHERS and INFANTS LACTATION CENTER (MILC) OPERATING FUND: WBWC has expanded lactation services to reach a larger number of people beyond WBWC patients. We want to be able to provide lactation support to women in the community seven days a week. MILC will be able to continue to grow through your community support.

The Dorothy B. Sullivan Fund

To honor the memory of her beloved mother, WBWC Executive Director Maureen Darcey started the Dorothy B. Sullivan Memorial Fund at WBWC. The Fund honors Maureen’s mother who was also her biggest supporter. Read more about Dorothy.

Please consider donating to help us continue our “homegrown, home-owned” practice for women in our community. Your tax-deductible contribution will go toward the endowment in Dorothy’s name, which directly helps the birth center continue to provide its invaluable services.

A tax deductible donation to the fund in her honor will help to expand access to safe pregnancy and childbirth care in North Carolina.
