Development and Marketing Volunteer
Summary
Our organization is currently seeking a Development Volunteer to assist with oversight of our donor relations and fundraising program. The successful volunteer will assist with fundraising campaigns, communicating with current and prospective donors and data tracking. This volunteer position will also be involved with individual and corporate gifts as well as planned and annual giving campaigns. If you have a strong background in non-profit fundraising and development, we invite you to apply.
Qualification Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field
· 1-3 years’ fundraising experience
· Foundation relationships and grant writing experience
· Working knowledge of Kindful Program, preferred
· Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Minimum Qualifications
1. Associates degree from an accredited college or university preferred
2. One to three years of Development office experience
3. Able to self-motivate, work independently and function well as a team member
4. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
5. Able to work in and manage a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
6. Ability to be flexible
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while affording attention to detail and organization
8. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact within all levels of the organization
9. Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential, financial information with diplomacy and tact
10. Proficient in use of Kindful (preferred) and MS Office programs
11. Ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines

· Leadership Skills – Must be able to successfully assist in the management of the organization’s resources
· Time Management – Ability to work on various tasks at once, ability to self-motivate, effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure goals are met
· Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to identify issues and work with the team to resolve them quickly and efficiently for the sake of the business
· Decision-Making Abilities – Ability to make decisions that benefit the organization and works towards goals, strategies, and policies established for the organization.
· Communication Skills – Ability to communicate with executive leaders, staff, all stakeholders, and clients effectively. Must be able to work as a team member to implement and achieve organization’s development goals. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Essential Functions
The Marketing and Development Volunteer will:
· Assist with the development and oversight of our annual fundraising program
· Identify prospective individuals and corporate donors and assist with develop strategies to cultivate those relationships
· Maintain ongoing communications with private and corporate donors
· Maintain communications with major donors and monthly sustainers
· Oversee and maintain Kindful Donor Program
· Ensure timely and accurate report deliveries to funders
· Collaborate with staff on the management and planning of virtual fundraising events
· Develop print marketing collateral related to fundraising in collaboration with our advertising department
