Summary

Responsible for determining Human Resource strategic and programmatic needs and priorities for WBWC; Advise and assist management and employees on employee issues, concerns and process through communicating, interpreting, and recommending appropriate use of human resource laws, policies and procedures; Serve as consultant strategist for the following areas to our organizations: compensation/pay equity, rewards and recognition, performance management, recruitment/retention, policy development/interpretation and organization development .

Qualification Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related discipline required. A graduate degree is preferred.

  • Employee engagement and leadership coaching skills
  • Demonstrate analytical, project management, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, verbal and written skills
  • Work requires five to seven years of business, administrative and/or human resource,     organizational development experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrate HR operational leadership by effectively demonstrating some knowledge of healthcare and considerable knowledge of HR practices/policies related to employment, EEO/AA, diversity, benefit compensation, talent acquisition, HR metrics/analytics, employee relations and program evaluation. Must be able to develop spreadsheets, presentations, documents and perform organizational assessments to include compensation. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and Develop system-wide policies, systems, processes and programs to effectively link HR strategies with business strategies.
  • Ensure HR is viewed as a business partner by contributing effectively to the above; generate alliances with our external entities that enables effective delivery of HR services
  • Promote work/life balance, effective employee communications, and promote an inclusive environment
  • Coach managers; provide advice, feedback and development resources to improve the effectiveness of individuals and teams
  • Lead the development of work and process redesign to improve individual, team and organizational effectiveness
  • Design and deliver on financial measurements of HR interventions
  • Lead organizational compensation/salary reviews in accordance with market value and ensure and maintain internal equity
  • Help fulfill the implementation of key business strategies through cost effective HR solutions
  • Ensure effective procurement, implementation and oversight of all benefits programs
  • Ensure the resolution of compensation and benefit issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure confidential professional administration and effective management of employee records, documents
  • Standardize Staffing, Recruitment and Selection Processes and ensure appropriate legal documentation and record retention
  • Develop and lead employee recruitment, engagement, and retention initiatives.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by following through on tasks, taking initiative, working with the team and identifying solutions.

Typical office environment and infrequent travel to various locations through the state including health center, conferences, etc.
