Originally from Kentucky, Holly Lindsay-Miller moved to North Carolina after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a B.A. in Sociology. Since moving to Durham with her husband, she has given birth to two daughters, both born at the Birth Center. She finds helping women and families at the Boutique is another way she can surround herself with the many things she loves. When not working at the Boutique, you can find her reading, hiking, attending concerts, mountain traveling, and especially enjoying getting to see her children develop into the unique people they are.
Violet grew up just around the corner in Hillsborough, North Carolina and returned to the state after earning her B.A. in Medical Sociology from Goucher College in Maryland. Violet is a birth doula and volunteers with UNC’s Birth Partners volunteer doula program. Her long-term plan is to become a Certified Nurse-Midwife. Currently, she is thrilled to interact with families at the Boutique and loves learning about holistic ways to ease the transition to parenthood and beyond! When not at the Boutique, Violet can be found studying, reading, playing with babies, and galavanting around Carrboro.
A Cleveland native, Tori moved to the Triangle in 2007 after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ohio University. She began her career in Higher Education publishing before making a change to be home more when her first daughter was born. She brings to the Boutique her experience as a Center for Babywearing Studies-trained Babywearing Educator, having spent two years working in business development for a baby carrier company. Her passion for supporting women and families has also lead her to pursue her birth doula DONA certification and volunteer as a birth doula at UNC. Her other passions include going on adventures with her two daughters, trying new foods and craft beers with her husband, walking her dog, listening to podcasts and reading anything she can get her hands on.
